Sexual Harassment Committee

The Sexual Harassment Committee at Late Gaya Prasad Degree College, Banda has been constituted to ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment within the institution. It aims to prevent and address instances of sexual harassment in accordance with institutional policies and legal frameworks.

  • Policy Development: Formulating and reviewing policies to prevent sexual harassment and ensure a secure environment for all members.
  • Training and Awareness: Organizing workshops and awareness programs for students and staff.
  • Complaint Redressal: Receiving and investigating complaints confidentially and fairly.
  • Support and Counseling: Providing guidance and counseling to affected individuals.
  • Monitoring and Review: Periodic evaluation of policy effectiveness and implementation.

How to Lodge a Complaint?

Any student, staff, or faculty who experiences sexual harassment may lodge a written complaint to the Committee within 3 months of the incident. Complaints can be submitted in person at the college office or via email.

Time-bound Process

  • Complaint filing: Within 3 months of the incident.
  • Initial review: Within 7 working days.
  • Investigation completion: Within 90 days.
  • Action taken report: Within 60 days of completion.
