Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of Late Gaya Prasad Degree College, Banda is established to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all members of the institution. The Committee aims to prevent and address issues related to sexual harassment at the workplace and provide a fair and confidential process for redressal.

  • Objective: To prevent discrimination and sexual harassment and to promote gender equality.
  • Scope: Covers all students, teaching, and non-teaching staff within the college premises.
  • Function: To receive, investigate, and resolve complaints as per institutional and legal provisions.
  • Confidentiality: Ensures privacy and non-retaliation during and after the inquiry process.

Complaint Submission Process

Any student, faculty, or staff member who experiences sexual harassment may lodge a written complaint to the Committee within 3 months of the incident. Complaints can be submitted in person at the college office or via email. All complaints are treated with confidentiality and resolved in a fair and timely manner.

Functions of the Committee

  • Prevent discrimination and sexual harassment through awareness programs.
  • Receive and investigate complaints of sexual harassment in a fair and unbiased manner.
  • Recommend appropriate actions to the college management based on inquiry findings.
  • Ensure confidentiality, protection, and support to the complainant.
